Continually asserting the relevance of the ancient painting technique with pigments and tempera, Dedichen's paintings have inherent ambiguities between, on the one hand, an external existence of nature and objects in aesthetic and peaceful compositions, and, on the other, a powerful internal human existence of freedom, truths, myths, legends and fairy tales. Dedichen's paintings insist and challenge the beholder to go from the apparent to the genuine.
